In 2005, the Wyandanch School District was faced with a multitude of mounting maintenance issues, and little hope for community approval of a much needed bond issue.

Fortunately, because an Energy Performance Contract (EPC) requires only board approval to initiate, the district was able to address its aging and deficient infrastructure without needing to go to their taxpayers to fund the projects. And, the State aid they receive for the EPC will result in an annual positive cash flow.
