Despite receiving excellent scores for “energy
efficiency” through formal energy audits,
Administrators at West Babylon UFSD wanted to see if they
could go even further toward making the district as energy
efficient as possible through the EPC process.
To the Distict’s surprise and delight, they recently
received proposals to perform over $3.5 million worth of
energy related upgrades, including a wind turbine, solar
panels, window replacements, and much more. All work will
be paid for completely out of energy savings, and the district
will reduce their energy costs by over 22%.
