After passing a major bond issue for a new addition at the
High School, the Massapequa school district faced a funding
challenge for upgrading their existing buildings’ outdated
systems.
With the assistance and guidance of ECG, the district entered
into an Energy Performance
Contract that provided $9 million worth of improvements,
from energy-efficient lighting
to a full roof replacement.
The energy performance measures designed
as part of this project will save the district thousands
of dollars each year. Also, the health & safety improvements
that were implemented have created a more desirable learning
and work environment. |
