Project Size:
$650,000
Completed: April 2010
.................................................
Annual Energy Savings: $60,495
Reduction in Energy Costs: 35.3%
.................................................
After publishing a
traditional RFP for an Energy Performance Contract, Greenport
UFSD received 3 proposals that varied greatly in terms, conditions
and scope. As a result, they retained ECG Engineering, LLC.
to assist in the analysis and evaluation of each Energy Services
Company’s (ESCO’s) response.
In addition, ECG
noticed that several basic, viable energy savings measures
were overlooked in other responses, reducing the scope of
work significantly.
After a thorough
analysis and interview process with the ESCOs, ECG made an
informed recommendation to the district on the highest value
proposal. Greenport will now proceed with the project with
the peace of mind that they are getting the largest project
possible for their energy savings.
